What is the production process of black alumina plate?

Workpiece - chemical degreasing - alkali etching - acid etching - chemical oxidation - coloring - sealing - drying - finished product

It is most important to obtain an oxide film with good adhesion on the surface of the aluminum plate. Pretreatment includes chemical degreasing, alkali etching, nitric acid soaking, etc.

Through alkali etching, the remaining natural oxide film and modified alloy layer on the surface of the aluminum plate can be removed. Since the reaction is fast, the time should be strictly controlled to prevent excessive corrosion during the alkali etching process.

Alkali solution will remain on the surface of parts treated with alkali solution. The residual alkali needs to be neutralized in HNO3 solution, and at the same time, the attachments on the surface will be dissolved to expose the shiny surface of the workpiece.

The pre-treated aluminum plate is anodized, and then the anodized aluminum plate is colored black.

The black conversion coating obtained after oxidation and coloring has pores on the surface and has poor corrosion resistance, so it needs to be sealed.

How to solve white spots on black anodized aluminum panels?

If the white spots can be wiped off, they may be caused by salt deposits. If they cannot be removed, circular spots may result from surface contamination or the rupture of small water bubbles.

Another possibility is insufficient removal of residues by the cleaning agent.

Unfortunately, some residues can survive the anodizing process and interfere with the absorption of black dye, resulting in white spots.

The last possibility is when, during coloring, alkaline particles suspended in the air adhere to the surface of the anodized aluminum.
